FAQ
Studying in New Zealand
Still unsure? One call with a counsellor usually settles it.
Ask us directlyHow long can I stay after graduating?
Post-study work visas run up to three years, and the length depends on your qualification level and, for some levels, where in the country you studied.
Are the universities well ranked?
All eight New Zealand universities appear in international rankings, which is unusual for a country of its size.
What are living costs like?
Lower than Sydney or London, higher than smaller Indian cities. Immigration New Zealand publishes a minimum you must show for living costs; we share the current figure.
Can I work while studying?
Most student visas permit part-time work in term time and full-time in scheduled holidays, subject to the conditions on your visa.
