One-year master's degrees and a two-year Graduate Route
The UK remains the fastest route to a master's degree — most taught programmes run a single year, so you are back in work a year sooner than in most other destinations.
After you graduate, the Graduate Route lets you stay and work for two years (three with a doctorate) without needing a job offer first.

FAQ
Studying in United Kingdom
Still unsure? One call with a counsellor usually settles it.
Ask us directlyHow long is a UK master's degree?
Most taught master's programmes run for twelve months, including the dissertation. Some professional and research routes run longer.
Can I work while I study?
Student visa holders can usually work up to 20 hours a week during term time and full time in vacations. Conditions are printed on your visa — we go through them with you before you travel.
What is the Graduate Route?
It lets eligible graduates stay in the UK to work or look for work for two years after finishing, or three years after a PhD. You apply from inside the UK once your university confirms your award.
Do I need IELTS?
Most universities accept IELTS, PTE or an equivalent. A few accept your prior study in English instead. We check the exact requirement for each course on your shortlist.
