FAQ

Studying in United States

Still unsure? One call with a counsellor usually settles it.

Ask us directly
What is OPT?

Optional Practical Training — work authorisation in your field of study, normally up to twelve months after you graduate, with a further twenty-four months available for eligible STEM degrees.

Do I need the GRE or GMAT?

It depends on the programme. Many master's courses still ask for one; a growing number have made them optional. We check each course on your shortlist.

How early should I start?

Earlier than for other destinations — twelve to eighteen months before your intake, because tests, essays, references and the visa interview all take time.

Is the visa interview difficult?

It is short and focused on your course, your funding and your intention to study. We prepare you for it with the documents an officer expects to see.
